Our range includes AISI 304 and 316 grades, primarily. AISI 304 is renowned for its excellent forming and welding characteristics, making it ideal for various applications, albeit less resistant to corrosion than 316. AISI 316 contains molybdenum, enhancing its corrosion resistance, particularly against chlorides and other industrial solvents. This makes it suitable for more demanding environments such as marine applications or chemical processing.
The choice of grade depends largely on the environmental conditions and the chemical exposures anticipated. For instance, in environments with high chloride exposure, such as coastal areas or in the presence of certain chemicals, grade 316 is advisable due to its superior corrosion resistance. Conversely, for general applications where such exposure is not a concern, the more cost-effective 304 grade is typically sufficient.
Stainless steel grades like 310 are designed for high-temperature applications, offering superior high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance up to 2100°F. For moderately high-temperature applications, grades like 304 and 316 are also suitable, maintaining structural integrity up to about 1500°F and 1600°F, respectively

Grade 316 fittings, for example, offer extended longevity in corrosive environments compared to grade 304.
